Highlights of the conference include scientific keynote speakers Marina Becoulet (CEA) with "Challenges of First Principle Modelling and Role of HPC in Magnetic Fusion" and Vadim Monteiller (CNRS) with "In Memoriam - Dimitri Komatitsch", and industrial keynote speakers Julien Harou, University of Manchester, with "Water Resource Modelling" and Ange Caruso (EDF) with "Modeling and simulation issues at EDF enabling energy challenges".
PRACEdays19 will be part of the EuroHPC Summit Week 2019. Similar to previous years, this edition will offer a wide variety of workshops covering a number of application areas where supercomputers are key, as well as HPC technologies and infrastructures. In total, PRACEdays19 offers eight scientific tracks and an industrial track, PRACE User Forum open session and a panel discussion. PRACEdays19 will also host a session dedicated to an open discussion on Equality and Diversity in HPC.
EuroHPC is presented in several conference sessions and the EuroHPC Mini-Symposium - Co-Design Workshop will take place on 15 May. The goal of this mini-symposium is to ensure that the new European technologies are fully exploited and meet the needs of users and applications addressing grand scientific and societal challenges.
The conference also includes a HPC Ecosystem Summit. The aim of this HPC Ecosystem Summit is to create a coherent HPC landscape including access to HPC resources, services for users and research. This summit will help to clarify the future roles of each actor in the field. The summit is followed by a HPC Ecosystem Plenary and a number of HPC Ecosystem Workshops.
The Opening Session on 14 May (08:30 - 10:15) and the Panel Discussion and Award Session on 16 May (11:00 - 13:00) will be livestreamed.
